Can I fetch the data from a http(s) web service? Yes, it is certainly possible to call a web service and fetch data from it. The standard way of achieving this using our platform is to create a system manually and add an API endpoint inside this system which can be configured to connect to given URL and fetch the data from a http(s) web service. The data type can be either JSON or XML. Is there some kind of authentication to fetch the data from your supplier web service?
Then you would create a link between the API endpoint and the Product or Variant endpoint within your Shopify. If the source data is a feed with multiple product you could use the Batch Splitter on the source API endpoint to split the collection of products and send to an eCommerce store example Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce and others one by one.
This is probably a more advanced setup with which we can certainly help. We provide paid setup service for clients that are stuck. If you are interested one of our on-boarding specialists can send you a form to fill out if you are interested.
