Preview source data in the mapping section. View, edit and test JSON source data in the data mapping section. The preview function is handy for debugging your mapping. To try out the preview function you will need to have some sample data to test against your mapping.
To access the preview function you will need to be in your data mapping section.
This feature enables users to paste their source data directly into DSYNC to test the mapping between two systems. Data can be tested, previewed and checked against your mapping template to see how data will flow based on the fields setup.
By selecting preview we can copy and paste Sample JSON data into our system
DSYNC will then pretend that the system has sent the data. DSYNC will run the job in the background for you - Then it will show you the expected result from DSYNC.
We have prepared the above in video format as an example: In this test we have put in the Sample data from the WooCommerce API documents. This preview is showing some “Red Errors” on the mapping – As you can see this is a quick way to see if the mapping will be successful or if it will fail. For this example the data is passing through a “Null Value” however the mapping is specified as Boolean True or False. This preview is showing us that if we ran this job all Boolean fields would fail. Within the preview function we can also transform and set functions to the data field.
During the preview function you can also place rules or functions to the mapping:
As an example, if we wanted to change the “Title field” over to show as all capital letters (upper case) we could adjust transform For more information please refer to our help center located here within the help section.
