What is a shared key?
A shared key is a key that links an entity across multiple systems. So if you have two platforms, say unleashed and WooCommerce, and you have products in each, our system needs to know what products are the same. The shared key is an identifier that helps to correlate the two entities (ie products).
Where is the shared key? The shared key settings can be reached by clicking any of the data endpoints example click on customer - then on your right panel you will see the shared key settings. You will be able to select
ID, title, name, created_at, updated_at, type, status
What is an example of a shared key? Shared key is a data field which identifies the same record across multiple systems. For example, you may have a common identifier in Excel spreadsheet that needs to be synced with your ZOHO product. When making your integration you will need to use the correct field and match them up. An example would be ‘PRODUCTID’ field to shared key on ZOHO endpoint and linked that in mapping with ItemID from the Excel spreadsheet.
