Build your own connector (DSYNC SDK)
DIY Connector Summary:
DSYNC is a platform that can connect multiple applications together. There may be a case where a system you require has not been built out by our team. The platform caters for developers to build their own connector to interact with the DSYNC data platform. To cater for developers who would like to build their own connector our team have built an SDK..
For connecting APIs and developing your own connector get started with the developers documentation.
Fast way to build your own connector? Developers can quickly build a "new endpoint" on their DSYNC canvas. This will be automatically ready to be mapped to other systems on the DSYNC network.
One of the simplest ways to connect systems is to set up a new API endpoint (create system manually) and configure your system to talk to DSYNC. For a simple connection set-up developers only need to check for two key capabilities to connect the APIs.
- Authentication methods (DSYNC can connect with multiple and generic oAuths)
- Filtering methods so you can set up polling / schedules (CRON) inside DSYNC
PLEASE note all of the information for building your own API connector is located in this link here
To check if you can build a connector into the DSYNC platform you will need to research into the system you are looking to build a connector for. Developer information is generally easy to find by searching for the developer API documentation.
What are the benefits of building my own connector? Once a connector is built it will automatically connect into all of the systems on the DSYNC network. Building one connector will instantly open connectivity to the connector you have built.
Can I make money from a connector? Yes, well-built connectors are published on our marketplace and we provide a revenue share based on the volume of data that is processed through your connector.
What is average timing a connection takes to build? Our feedback indicated a connection would take approximately 2-3 days to build via the DSYNC developers portal
Where can I find the SDK documentation for building in 2-3 days? Copies are available via our support team and will be published on apiary.
5 reasons to develop a DSYNC connector:
- Create additional connectivity for your clients
- Gain on-going revenue share for your connector
- Develop in only 2-3 days
- Connect once and gain access to all connectors on the DSYNC network
- Ongoing Free developer account
Will I have to maintain my connector if it is in the Marketplace? Yes, in the same way developers would be responsible for maintaining a plugin in other marketplaces.
Can I develop a connector if there is already one in your marketplace? Yes, there are circumstances where additional connectors will be approved. Reasons include additional functionality, additional endpoints, poor performance, country specific.
If I build a connector will it be added to the DSYNC marketplace? Yes - To be added to the DSYNC marketplace your connector must be checked and verified by our team.
Will I receive a referral fee? We do have a partner referral program and offer a referral fee for clients who utilize your connector.
Is there a difference between white label and building my own connector? YES White label is a special partner level service offered by DSYNC. DSYNC white label provide special admin rights to agencies, developers, IT consultants and integrators a unique dashboard login. White label provides the ability to view all clients under one master login. White label clients earn a % rebate on their clients and the ability to invoice management fees to their clients. White label clients can also reuse their own mapping templates and keep their connectors in private mode.
