Getting started (Video Page for API integration)
Listed below are a series of help videos to help with system / api integration. We will try to include notes tips and tricks to assist you with your integration. Few core features
About DSYNC: Near Real time, includes Dynamic URL , pagination, oAuth 1/2, JSON and XML
You can connect multiple APIs, schedule or use webhooks and use DSYNC as an integration layer for connecting your systems. We are constantly adding new maps and templates however you don't need them to connect straight away. The videos below show you all you need to know about API integration.
Complete API integration tutorial: The below video is the entire process flow for controlling API and data connections. The tutorial below shows the main structure of how DSYNC can be used to collect data, filter, transform and post/get data from any available rest API.
Containers are used to control the different systems on your DSYNC canvas. Each system, source or destination or FTP should have its own container. You can load up as many containers as you like on your dashboard. Each container (element) enables the developer to set specific auth settings. You do not need a ready made connector to sync data between systems on DSYNC, devs can sync any available rest API by creating their own generic container.
How DSYNC works with the "SOURCE" system
After you have added your containers to your dashboard we now cover how we interact with the "SOURCE" system. The source system is the starting point of the data sync and is usually the origin of the data flow. This video covers how DSYNC can be used to obtain the data from the endpoint calls and filter ready for the mapping process.
How DSYNC works with the "Destination system"
System integration usually involves two systems, if you have watched the above video we have seen how we can use the source data from the origin system to "Get" and filter the data response. The next video will show the destination filtering and how you can bend the data to the right formats.
Part 4 of our series we showcase how different data has different structures of data
From - Text / Object / String / Number / Boolean and more! We show how to validate and test different formats moving from one system to another.
When should data be moved? How to schedule your data sync and how to nominate when your data should be moved. DSYNC has two different methods we can either listen for webhooks (CRUD: Create, update, Delete) or developers can set nominated times for a sync to occur via our scheduler. A brief video on how to schedule your data syncs is available below. To check when data is being scheduled simply click on the endpoint/ job and view the schedule on the right side.
Mapping engine help video - Learn about using the mapping engine to transform data between your systems
How to set functions and conditional logic with your API integration
Part 11 of the API integration tutorial covers how to execute call backs with your data. A callback is when you want to use multiple API calls to join or transform data from different systems together.
Fetch data from multiple sources. Call and execute other saved jobs. Using callbacks and functions to join data together, make your data work for you. We help to show how you can make your systems talk via callbacks and enrich the data between your applications. DSYNC is a visual developers tool that can be used to connect and orchestrate data. The callback data will hold the data from your first job. All the data will be held in the callback object.
How to Connect any Available Rest API. You do not need a ready made connector to use DSYNC as an API tool to control your API workflows. Developers can use DSYNC as an API tool to connect, control, schedule and transform any available REST API.
